Creating an off grid permaculture food forest has been a life long dream of mine.
About 20 years ago, I decided to see if I could find 5 acres I could buy, and try to fulfill that dream a bit.
My realtor came to me and tells me he found 80 acres for sale. I said, hmm, I don’t think I can afford that. He says just make them an offer, all they can do is say no. So, knowing 80 acres at that time was worth at least $80,000.00, and knowing I could only afford about half of that, I told him to offer them 40 grand. I figured that would be the end of that.

A week later he calls me and says congrats, you own 80 acres! I was like…..no way! He says yes way! Wow, I just stole 80 acres! What happened was this was the last parcel of a large ranch that was sold off, the owner was an elderly lady, who at that point simply wanted it sold. She got the offer, they said she did not even look at it, just said take it!
I have been in a love affair with my property ever since. There is something to be said about standing in the middle of your 1/2 mile by 1/4 mile piece of property and knowing you own it.
I did not do much with the property (because of work, and life) for many of those years.
Then as I was finally going to retire from my landscape business at the age of 69, I realized I would have to supplement my income and JustCannabisSeed.com came to be.
This website is what has paid for my well, and everything I have accomplished up there to this point. Now you all can join me as I continue to plant plants, and improve my property to create the off grid utopia I envision.
As we age (I am now 70) I think it becomes vitally important to have interests that keep you enthusiastic, involved, and planning for a better future. Everyone has a passion, and retirement can give you the time to embrace that passion, and bring it to fruition. I get this from my Off Grid permaculture food forest.
You can now join me as I attempt to do just that….should be a fun ride! If your looking for premium cannabis seeds head over to lawngreen-barracuda-883626.hostingersite.com or Bulk orders go to bulkweedseed.com
Thank you for sharing your journey , look forward to keeping up with your posts; in fact I am new to jcs and I love how “at home” I feel while reading. Thank you:) on a side note, I have a couple pics of plants that I am growing from your seeds , and wondered if you would take a quick look and answer a couple questions the best
you can about their care? Completely new at this. Nobody to ask! Thank you in advance !! Here’s to hoping you have a super sweet day;)
100% Jamie, welcome! Contact me in an email from my contact page. I will take a look and give my opinion on what you have going on.
Thats quite a project. Like mine only on a much bigger scale. Very interesting I will be following your page to learn what I can for my adventure.
I think that is a great area for growing. Mine is mostly just to live off-grid as much and as comfortably as possible. And im a big kid so o plan to have a good electric bike to run around on. LOL. And not have to depend on the gas station as I have several solar powered generators to charge batteries.
Right, I will have my 15 plants I can grow legally tucked in somewhere, all on drip irrigation. I plan on a big solar array, and too would love an electric vehicle. Keep in touch, and let me know how things progress for you.
Wow, absolutely stunning land. You did not my friend. Congratulations on fulfilling your life long dream!
Thanks Mike, I am loving the process of getting all this going on up there.
Sounds like THE LORD BLESED U.
1988 i SOLD MY HOUSE in Riverside, 1989 I moved to Klamath.
I looked and looked for property.
Finally, I went back to the 1st property I looked at >121 acresThe Lord said $25,000 so I offered $20 they countered at $25,000.
SO GLAD YOUR FINALLY HOME.
I PRAY FOR U EVERY DAY.

Thanks Jill, I appreciate that!
I’m trying to fulfill my dream with a 5 acre plot. Starting with Alfalfa and moving on through other plants. I’m working hard, but am enjoying my journey! Blessing to all!
Awesome Lew, it can become a passion, and a good one no matter how you look at it. I have been planting Alfalfa as well, but I don’t think any of it is becoming established, I think I will literally grow some in pots to make sure I get it going.
Sounds Exciting !!!
We” ll. definitely. stay. Tunned ”
A good read indeed! My lifelong is a cat sanctuary…
