We Have a Winner in the Cannabis Height Contest

How Tall Did the Cannabis Plants Grown in the Hugelkultur Bed Get? You Might Be Surprised!

So how tall did my cannabis plants in the hugelkultur bed get up at Stony Oasis Farms? Do we have a winner in the ‘How Tall Will The Cannabis Plants Get’ contest?

I thought these plants having only being topped just once would reach for the sky! I really thought 12-15 foot for sure….I was wrong, and I will be writing a post telling about how this grow taught me things I have never figured out in my 55 years of growing this plant….So watch for that.

Thing is the growing bed which was full of super-soil I mixed up was a bit too rich! And with that much nitrogen available the plants bushed out more then going vertical.

I wondered just how I would be able to accurately measure their height, and show that measurement to you guys, so this is how I did it….

My orchard ladder was what I needed. That got me right up where I needed to be, and it was easy to put the end of the measuring tape right by the base of the plant…which assured an accurate measurement.

And the height of this Sugar Haze Plant…the tallest bud in the grow….

Looks like just over 9 feet…about 9 foot 1/4 inch. And the winner will be the guess that is closest…either over or under I do not care…just the closet guess…and the winner is…Drum Roll….George Hall…with his guess of 9′ 4″….

Congrats George, now get back to me to claim your prize.
