“The Soil-Sifter’s” Potent Alcohol Tincture (Green Dragon)

I’ve always said that if you want a medicine cabinet that lasts a decade, you need a alcohol tincture, like Green Dragon.

He’s been perfecting how to make cannabis tincture or ‘Green Dragon’ with everclear since the days when you had to hide your stash in a hollowed-out log. It’s a clandestine powerhouse medicinal—concentrated, shelf-stable, and hits the bloodstream faster than any brownie.

According to the Sifter, the key is the “wash.” You aren’t just soaking trim; you’re performing a chemical extraction. You should use use 190-proof grain alcohol. Anything less has too much water, which pulls out the chlorophyll and makes the tincture taste like….really nasty…It’s imperative to decarb your flower first—if you skip that, you’re just making expensive green booze.

The Ghost approved of this “Green Dragon” because it’s fast, easy, and potent. A few drops under the tongue or in a cup of coffee, and you’re set. It doesn’t smell, it doesn’t smoke, and it stores forever in a cool, dark spot like the cellar at Stony Oasis farms.

The Recipe (Offered by The Soil-Sifter):
Decarb: Toast 1 oz of high-resin trim or bud at 240°F for 40 minutes.
Combine: Place the decarbed flower in a glass Mason jar and pour in just enough Everclear to cover it completely.
Shake: Seal it tight. Shake it like it owes you money for 5 minutes, once a day.
Age: Store it in a dark cupboard for 2–4 weeks, again shaking it once a day. (Some guys do a “Quick Wash” in the freezer, but the Sifter likes the old-school wait).
Strain: Pour through a coffee filter into a dark dropper bottle.

The Ghost Tip: This is “Master Class” potency. Start with 5 drops under the tongue. If you get overconfident and take a full dropper-full of Green Dragon, you’re going to be horizontal for the rest of the day. Respect the dragon….depending on just how potent you make it.
