Bio-char for Guerrilla Growing: Making Your Own On-Site
erry here. If you want to build a soil that holds onto nutrients and water like a sponge for years—without hauling in bags of expensive amendments—you need to learn the art of biochar. It’s essentially "super-charcoal" that acts as a permanent home for the beneficial microbes we find in that forest leaf mold.
Guerrilla Composting Onsite: The No-Turn Guerrilla Method
Jerry (The Ghost) here. If you’ve got a "forever spot"—a secret location you’ve managed to keep hidden for years—you have a massive advantage. You can stop thinking about finding a site for a grow, begin guerrilla composting onsite and turn your forever spot into the 'perfect site for a grow!'
Why the “Nasty” Brush is a Guerrilla’s Best Friend
In the world of the Ghost, "beautiful" isn't what we’re looking for. We want the gnarly, the prickly, and the downright painful. You want to choose a site protected by the kind of brush that nobody in their right mind wants to push through.
Does Molasses Actually Bulk Up Buds?
If you’ve spent any time in the forums or talking to old-timers, you’ve heard about the "Blackstrap Secret." Some folks swear by it, while others think it’s just sticky folklore. After fifty years of feeding everything from garden-variety tomatoes to huge cannabis giants, I can tell you: it’s not just a myth, but it’s probably not doing what you think it’s doing.

Does Rain Wash Away THC?
The good news is that THC is not water-soluble. If it were, we wouldn’t need high-proof alcohol or butter to make our edibles. Your resin glands are essentially a specialized wax. Just like a waxed car, the rain should roll right off those sticky colas without dissolving the "magic" inside.
Can You Use Pond Water for Cannabis?
When you’re miles deep in the brush and your ladies are starting to droop under a 90-degree sun, you don't always have the luxury of being picky. I’ve had folks ask me if it’s safe to pull water from a nearby pond or stagnant pool, or if they’re better off hiking back to the truck for "clean" water.
The Best Soil for Guerrilla Growing: Building a “Ghost” Plot
In my fifty years as the Ghost, I’ve learned that the best soil isn't something you buy—it’s something you build. You want a soil that holds moisture during a drought but breathes and is loose so your plants roots can breathe.
How to Avoid the Police While Guerrilla Growing: Lessons from The Ghost
In the world of guerrilla growing, stealth is your primary concern. Avoiding encounters the police involves more than just hiding in the brush; it can require a sophisticated level of psychological blending at times.

How to Transport Cannabis Seedlings? The Ghost’s On-Site Secret
Jerry here. I get asked all the time about the best way to hike through three miles of thicket with a tray of fragile seedlings without snapping their necks or tipping them over, or being seen. My answer usually surprises people: Don’t do it.
Finding a Guerrilla Grow: The Ghost finds OPP (Other People’s Pot)
erry here. In fifty years of "Ghosting" through the deep woods, I haven’t just been looking at my own plants. I’ve stumbled across what I call OPP—Other People’s Pot—more times than I can count. From massive, 1,000-plant commercial operations run like military camps to tiny, three-plant "hobby" patches tucked into a briar patch, I’ve seen it all.
The Best Time of Day to Visit Your Guerrilla Grow Site
Jerry here. If you’re visiting your "Ghost" spot at high noon on a weekday, you might as well be wearing a neon sign that says what is he doing? In the world of guerrilla growing, timing can be a part of your armor. You have to know when the woods are waking up, when the power that be are still drinking their coffee, and when the "civilians" are most likely not going to be out on the trails.
