Update…9/23/23…You can feel fall in the air! Fall is Beautiful Up At My Property
I am hoping my Granddaddy Purple cannabis plants have time to finish their seed….time will tell.
I still have some of the Grandaddy Purple seeds these plants came from, and will be adding to that stock soon I hope.
Here are some images of the grow, the plants are awesome, I think. What do you think?

I expect the offspring of these plants will likely exhibit that beautiful purple coloration everybody loves. I think those males are spectacular! Fall is Beautiful Up At My Property
Does anyone know what this medicinal plant is that I have gotten established there? Leave me a comment, and don’t use Google, that is cheating…lol, what plant is this?

Water is a definite ‘thing’ up there. There is simply not much around. I like to have several places around my property where I supply water for the creatures I share my property with. You can see their joy as they go down and enjoy a cold drink of fresh well water. Much of what I do there is for them.

About half of the native trees that grow there are Oregon White Oak (the rest are Ponderosa Pine.)
I met a guy on Facebook who wants some acorns from my trees, so I went looking for some.
Low and behold, there are a few very prolific mother trees scattered around my property. They are pretty much covered in acorns, next trip I will take a ladder and get up high where there are even more.
For those of you in the know, are these acorns ripe enough to pick? They seemed to be about ready to fall from the trees, so I am thinking they will be viable.
I am always looking for another income stream and these certainly could be one. There is alot of interest in permaculture practices, and in planting trees.
Another source of income my property produces is Ponderosa pine cones. I have seen bags of them for sale on E’bay for hobbyists to build Christmas wreaths, and other craft items.
And, lastly I have realized with all the oak and pine saplings I am cutting down, I could produce very cool walking sticks. perhaps another iron in the fire.
I built this brush pile for wildlife about 25 years ago when I had just bough this property. It is still home to many creatures who need to hide from predation, and be out of sight. I will soon be adding many, more of these utilizing all the small trees I have cleared for a fire break. Before you criticize me for cutting down native trees, you must realize I will be replacing them with much more useful trees, shrubs, and perennial plants. The limited deforestation will be a win/win for all.

It was finally moist enough (sprinkling rain throughout the day) to have my first fire there on this last visit.
I love the fire pit my son built for me.
It is over 4 feet long, so several people can be close for the warmth, out of the smoke, and I can burn four foot long fire wood.
Makes the wood last for much longer, although a bit heavy to handle at times.
You can also see the blacks at the end are where I cook. You simply shovel as many coals as you need to cook with, even heat, and no real smoke.
I also like to cook baked potatoes, corn, squash, and other things in tin foil in the coals there. Much easier to regulate the heat. Fall is Beautiful Up At My Property.

Have you planted currants? Hey Jer, is your place in the region called the palouse, or are you west of it?
My property is about 20 miles from Goldendale WA, so well west of the Palouse area. Although the climate would be about the same I would think.
Mullein’s soft.
Yeah, it is a cool plant. I have never used it medicinally, but want to get all those kinds of plants established up there.
Don’t forget the yarrow.
Jerry, the plant in the picture is Mullen, its used in respiratory ailments
Yup, thanks Mike, just thought I would see if anyone knew.
