Finding a Guerrilla Cannabis Grow in a Wildlife Refuge (Video Proof!)

Finding OPP (other peoples pot) in a Riparian Zone Along the Columbia River

Who would expect to find a guerrilla cannabis grow right along the Columbia River 50 feet from a parking area…but there they were!

I am 74 years old and grew my first cannabis plant back in 1968. I grew cannabis for years as The Ghost, and during my ghostly years I have found many guerrilla cannabis grows that me and my buds would call OPP…or other peoples pot.

Most were not worth finding…the folks that cared for them did not have a green thumb. Some were ok, and maybe 10% were impressive. I found 4 different large commercial grows during those years, 3 of which had been found by the police, and one (which later that summer was found as well) when I stumbled upon it there were hundreds, if not thousands of plants. I of course did not take the time to admire them, I was gone in a flash….some of these folks would carry guns, and I imagine use them.

I take hikes to keep my old body in shape, and during one of these hikes I was down at the Columbia River letting my pup take a swim…looked over and immediately knew exactly what I was looking at…cannabis plants. To me they stick out like a sore thumb…

The plants were pretty small, and did not look like they would amount to much, But I have to say they pretty much proved me wrong. I have written a series of articles on my OPP find, and here is what those same plants look today….

These are the plants I stumbled upon while hiking along the Columbia River.

I have written many articles in this OPP or Guerrilla Growing series, you can read them all here….The OPP Series
