Guerrilla Growing

Cannabis Plants Growing in the Wild-Will They Be Found?

These are the plants I stumbled upon while hiking along the Columbia River.

Finding OPP (Other Peoples Pot) Will the Plants Be Found and Harvested?

Well the guerrilla grow, or the cannabis plants I found along the Columbia River growing in the wild are still there, and they are now in full flower!

I have no real idea if they were purposely planted (a guerrilla grow) or are simply volunteers….although I doubt that. Thing is we have no wild hemp plants in WA that I have ever heard of, and in all my years I have never found a wild cannabis plant. So I have to think these were purposely planted.

Why they would let them grow up so big and proud right where someone has been going there to water on a weekly basis…I do not know.

They haul in a gas powered water pump I think.

Here is what I see every trip there…

Tracks in the sand…I believe they are hauling in a gas powered pump to water their plantings in this little wildlife area.

I am not sure if this is a publicly owned and maintained site or not. I have never seen one watered this way and I have been to every wildlife area around this area.

I was hoping to be there sometime when they are there, but that has not happened yet. These tracks in the sand have been there the last 4 or 5 times I have hiked there…perhaps they are the growers…you can see where they hook up to run their water in the video below.

There are about 3 different areas on my hike that have been planted, and this is the only one being watered. Strange really. I can see they were watering the other two spots before, but no sign they are getting any additional water now.

Will they harvest the plants, are they even the growers, or have they even seen them? Many folks cannot pick them out by sight, but they stick out like a sore thumb to me.

I was once out with one of my brothers looking over some new ground, along the same river. The sun was just coming up, and as I looked to the east along the river…literally 200 yards away…silhouetted by the rising sun I could see a cannabis plant. I told my brother as much, and he looks at me and says “Yeah right Jerry, that is not a cannabis plant!’

We hiked on over and sure enough there it was…and in a scratch my head moment…we found a trail going back in the brush to 2 grows of several plants each. The plants were actually very nice…but one wonders why they would plant one right at the start of their trail right out in the open.

Well the plants are blooming, and may have just a week or two left till first frost.

These are the plants I stumbled upon while hiking along the Columbia River.

Being right along the river they will be in a micro-climate that will be warm, and it may take a hard frost for them to be affected. I will continue to see what happens to them. They are defiantly in full flower, and I see no males. Which again makes me think they were purposely planted.
