Growing The Black at Stony Oasis Farms-2026

Making Seeds With The Black and BadAss BB’s….Two Heavy Hitting Indica Doms

The Black is a heavy hitting Indica strain that my brother a master grower sent to me. One of his favorite strains. I have grown the Black a few times now and the plants are awesome, full of vitality, and grow strong!

The Black can actually mature in the cool of autumn and actually turn completely black, although I am realizing this is a somewhat rare pheno type with this strain. I would love to do a breeding program and isolate that pheno type! But that will be another season down the road at some point.

I am growing just one of these plants in my hugelkultur grow up at Stony Oasis Farms, and it looks to be the green pheno type. But we are just now getting that cooler fall temps…will this one turn jet black? We will see….here is a short vid of the plant…

This plant was kinda crowded in this grow, and would have gotten much bigger if it could have. Next year I am going to grow the plants in the same type of planting bed, only I will give them much more room…I am expecting some 10 pounders!

This F1 cross of the black, and it’s offspring BadAss BB’s (a cross of The Black X The Big) will be a Indica lovers dream plant! Should make for a great medicinal plant!

I will be writing posts on the rest of the F1’s I am making up in the Simcoe Mountains of central WA. Some will be special I am sure.
