Fall is Here, Will My Cannabis Plants Finish Making Seed?

With fall quickly approaching I always wonder if out-door plants will have time to finish their seeds properly.

Seeds take a bit longer then buds to fully mature, and some plants tend to be long winded…like the Balochistan Black Tiger. I have made seed before and knew this plant takes it’s time. That being said I want these seeds as this strain is becoming a favorite…a Indica dom plant that shows real vigor when growing. Like this used to be runt….

Sadly something is going on with this plant however. See how it looks thirsty? See how the leaves are drooping a bit? Well I do not think it is thirsty, and just in case I watered it heavily this last time there. I think it either has some kind of root problem (I wondered if a mouse had girdled it…but no they have not) or perhaps it has hit a section of the hugelkultur bed that is extremely rich, and it is a bit overwhelmed?

A beautiful plant and strain I do not want to lose!

Sometimes it is best to just take a wait and see approach. Thing is the plant is not really blooming yet…so may not work out at all. Fortunately cannabis plants usually have some pre-flowers that get fertilized, so even if the plant does not have time for full flowering and maturing all their seed, they will mature those seeded pre-flowers.

These cannabis plants continue to impress, and they give you an idea of what you can grow with my genetics. I want to foster genetics that can grow like this in real world, outdoor gardens. Plants that can thrive in less than idea conditions….survivors!

Solar Install at Stony Oasis Farms

I am finally…after being interrupted to plant 70 fruit trees, then having to hot fence them, and deal with deer getting in and chewing on them all…getting back to getting my solar install done so I can live there.

Here are a few images of that…

Really not much more to do before I flip the switch and see if it all works! This system will start with just 10 KWH in batteries to start. If I find that is just not enough, I can quickly buy and swap a 16 KWH battery which I know I can live with.

Ultimately I want way more power then I will use….maybe 32 KWH so I can have friends come to visit and be able to plug their rv in and have full power…even enough to run their AC units. I am wanting to size things at Stony to support alot of people…not just me.

It is almost like I am doing all this for who comes after me…Stony Oasis Farms will be a big part of my legacy. What I will leave for others to enjoy when I am gone.
