The September stretch is upon us, and these huge cannabis plants will likley gain another foot or two in height up at Stony Oasis Farms. The good thing about this time of year for these particular plants is their stems will toughen up…in preparation for all the heavy seeded buds. These plants can take a beating up there in the mountains as you can see in this video…

This is just a gentle breeze up there. I should put a game cam on the plants to show how hard the win can blow there!

Cannabis is also a wind pollinated plant…so there should be no problem on that front!

Honey Bees and Cannabis Plants

I am also intrigued…as I have honey bees working the male flowers! This only really happens when the hive is close, or really big. I am seeing so many honey bees this year I know the hive is both big, and close. I will likley not get to it this year, but next spring if I see a ton of honey bees I will put out some sugar water and literally find their hive…if I do that I will share the process with all of you.

Too, I want to quickly touch base on something. That is you can find videos of honey bees aggressively working on female cannabis flowers. These videos are simply not true…honey bees will never visit female cannabis flowers as there is no nectar for them. The only reason they are doing that in those vids is because someone sprayed the cannabis flowers with sugar water. 100%

Next Years Cannabis Garden Already in the Works

I already have next years garden figured out!

I am going to make a couple more hugelkultur super soil planting beds, and see if I can grow full 10 lb plants. Beasts like you can see online 15 ft tall, and 15 ft around. True monster cannabis plants.

I have not decided if I want them to make seed, or grow sinsemilia. Thing is seedless cannabis flowers get so much bigger and more impressive then seeded buds. Once the buds get pollinated the plant puts it’s energy into maturing the seed, rather then stacking on more flowers.

I want to grow some truly impressive plants…going 100% for size!
