One of the most common questions I get is, “Jerry, how many seeds are in a pack?”

Most seed banks will sell you a 5-pack, or a 10 pack and give you exactly that many seeds. If one is a “dud” or you make a mistake during germination, your seed count can drop quickly. I don’t think that’s right.

My policy is simple: I simply fill the vial. (except for seeds I have bought wholesale)

I use small plastic vials to ship my seeds. Instead of counting out every single seed with tweezers, I simply scoop the vial full.

• Large Seeds: If the genetics produced big, fat seeds, you’re going to get at least five, usually with one or two extras for “insurance.”
• Small Seeds: If you’re ordering something with smaller genetics—like my Lebanese or certain landrace strains—that scoop might hold 10 or 12 seeds.

I simple do not take the time to count every seed, and I want you to have some extras, so a full scoop of any of the seeds I have produced.

I don’t just sell seeds; I grow them in real world conditions, under the sun, and in the elements. I believe that genetics should be tough. If a plant needs a laboratory environment just to survive, I don’t want it in my catalog.

I did a grow of my Santa Marta Colombian Gold back in 2022, and will share it as an example. This grow was in my secluded back yard that summer. I grew these plants in 5 gallon buckets, and that summer we have triple digit heat for 30 days straight.
