I am 66 years of age and live in Cincinnati Ohio.
I have also lived in Texas, Colorado, and Germany.
I have been smoking pot since I was 13 years old. In Cincy we were very fortunate to be able to access very good strains of pot throughout my younger years. Columbia gold & red, Thai stick, Panama red, and Jamaican ganja. Every once in a while some good pot from Hawaii.
Then the government cracked down and prevented those imports from coming into the US in the mid to late 1970’s.
That spawned the sinsemilla revolution in the early 1980’s. This type of pot then was bred and over bred to where the original great pot strains basically disappeared.
So how does today’s cannabis measure up when compared to those old school strains?
In the 1990’s I went on a mission so to speak.
One day I went on the HighTimes magazine website and went through all the seed companies listed in the ads in the back of the magazine. There were 49 seed companies listed. For two days I went through all the 49 seed company websites trying to find the original landrace seeds that were so amazing in my youth.
Out of those 49 seed companies I searched through I found zero landrace seeds available.
I was very, very disappointed to say the least.
Life went on and I had to succumb to the white widow, bubblegum, etc… sinse strains. I never gave up trying to find those original landrace seeds that I was always looking to find.
Then two years ago I stumbled across the Just Cannabis Seeds website and found Columbia gold seeds and immediately bought some.
Now we have Panama red seeds available on this site.
I am still bugging Jerry to make available a good Thai strain on his website, but as yet no luck.
I am older now and have some medical issues like many others, and the pot I grow really helps with my pain.
So Jerry, thank you very much, for helping ease my pain, and bringing back a little of my youth at the same time.
