When growing cannabis gorilla style the grower is at a disadvantage when compared to someone growing on their property or indoors. The reason being the gorilla grower is not able to visit his plants very often.
The less you visit the better…no one will see you, you will not leave as big a trail, less chance of a negative interaction with the powers that be. I normally would visit once a week, till the start of flowering, then in many cases (the plants would have to be planted somewhere they could take advantage of ground water) my next visit would be to harvest.
How to Extend Your Harvest Gorilla Style
There are many instances in which one would not want to take all of the cannabis in one harvesting trip. You may be out of cannabis yourself, you may have so much to harvest it is overwhelming, you may want to harvest some if you think a thief has found your spot, your buds are mature enough, and you still have some season left before first frost.
So you find yourself in one of these situations…what to do?
Here is what I have done quite often…simply harvest those big fat finished colas, but leave all those small popcorn buds on the plant.
I have literally substantially increase my over all harvest weight using this technique. The small buds that are left can gain an impressive amount of weight, as the plant pours all it’s energy into those small popcorn buds you left.
Trimming Your Plants In Place
Here is another technique I like to us in conjunction with extending your harvest utilizing the method above.
And that is trimming your plants in place. These two techniques can go hand in hand.
Since I have been having to buy my medicine lately at a rec shop, I decided to take this opportunity to enhance my stash.
Below you can see the untrimmed plant, the trimmed plant, and a close up of one of her buds.
You can see all the yellow leaves, this tells you the plant is maturing, and so are it’s buds.
You can also see the flowers were about done blooming…
Even though the flower is still blooming a bit, the plant only has a few more weeks, which will give the small buds I left time to look like that one.

Conclusion
Cannabis is such an awesome plant, very hardy, easy to grow, and forgiving. Cannabis is also a dioecious plant, meaning there are distinct male and female plants, which lends itself to the ability to manipulate the plants in many different ways.
