How to Make Cannabis Oil Capsules: A Discreet Veteran’s Guide

I’ve got a neighbor down the road—been growing since the Carter administration—who doesn’t like the taste of edibles. He doesn’t want brownies, and he doesn’t want tea. He just wants his medicine to work, and the dosing precise so he can get on with his day. He sent this in because he’s perfected how to make cannabis oil capsules
in a way that’s clean, consistent, and completely flavorless. It’s the ultimate “stealth” move for a veteran grower.
According to my neighbor, the trick is using a high-quality carrier oil like MCT or organic coconut oil. It’s imperative to use a “00” size gelatin or veggie capsule. It makes sense to invest in a simple capsule-filling tray; trying to do this by hand with a dropper is a precarious mess that’ll leave your kitchen smelling like a dispensary for a week.
The Ghost approved of these “Canna-Caps” because they are tactical. You can carry a bottle in your pocket, and nobody is the wiser. Whether you’re running Ata Tundra for sleep or a Kona Gold infusion for daytime focus, you know exactly what’s in every pill. And truthfully this is my favorite way to medicate as well.
The Recipe (As submitted by The Jeff Neighbor):
Infuse: Mix 1/2 cup of organic coconut oil with 1/2 oz of decarbed cannabis (use your trim or small buds). Cook in a slow cooker on low for 4-6 hours.
Strain: Use a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth. You want zero plant material left.
Fill: Use a large oral syringe to fill your empty capsules.
Snap: Click the tops on and store them in a dark glass bottle in the fridge.
The Ghost Tip: Add a half-teaspoon of sunflower lecithin to your oil during the infusion. It acts as an emulsifier and helps your body absorb the THC faster. It’s a easy upgrade that makes the medicine hit harder and last longer.
