The Fastest and Easiest Way to Make a Just Around the Corner Grow Site

This is my favorite way to site a grow, and about the fastest way as well.

Here is how it works…

Find Your Body of Water

You find a body of water, could be a river, pond, or lake. It can be right next to a boat launch even. What you look for is a stand of either cattails, marsh grass, or reeds…that grow out into the water, as well as up on the shore.

There needs to at least as many as you can see in the image above, and even more cattails is better. You can do this from shore…I would wear hip boots or even chest waders. This can also be accomplished for a boat.

Here is how to go about it, from the shore next the stand of cattails you wade out into the water, and down the cattails that are growing out in the water. Then I like to find a natural break in the cattails and slip inside of them, leaving no trail. If the line of cattails is solid with no breaks you and cut some of them below the water line to create a ‘hole’ going back into them a ways. I usually just throw the cut cattails out into the deeper water, and they will drift away.

Now you go back into your natural looking hole in the stand of cattails, then make an abrupt 90 degree turn, in such a way it is not visible from out in the water…so no boaters, or fishermen will see it.

Now you can just break a trail back towards shore, until you get to a spot…still completely surrounded by 8 foot tall cattails where the water is just an inch or two deep. The level of the water source you are in needs to stable, or if not you want to do this at high water.

I Liked Using Potting Soil When Making This Grow Site

When I plant like this I would usually pack in a bag or two of good potting soil, mostly so one can be in and out quickly. You simply pour your potting soil in a big pile, and plant the plants on the top of the mount of soil. You only need to water a few times, as once the plants roots hit that water you put your soil on you are golden.

I have done this many times and am done prepping and planting in just 20 minutes. When growing guerrilla I was all about quick ins and outs, the less time I spent at a grow the better!

I have even done this at very busy boat ramps, you just have to time it so you remain unseen…when it counts….hauling plants and potting soil. If you are seen other then that you have your fishing pole and are obviously fishing.

Fast and Easy Way of Siting a Stealth Grow…

It is fast, easy, and boy can you grow some nice plants this way.

Make sure the plants you grow do not get taller then the cattails, autos work great, and if done right you can get two harvests in one season. This technique works great for hiding your plants from anyone walking around or boating. It does not however hide your plants from the eye in the sky. From above the plants will stand out like a sore thumb.

Choosing to do this at a very popular and busy boat launch also has the advantage of possibly not being flown at all…the eye in the sky sometimes will skip over areas where lots of people hang out…thinking no one would plant a guerrilla grow there.
