Cannabis…God’s Pain Medicine For Treating Fibromyalgia

Contest Post By Janet

I suffer from fibromyalgia.

I was diagnosed at 43.

I saw many doctors who tried to treat me but unfortunately I am allergic to all 6 of the normal medications for the condition.

They all give me really bad hives.

Cannabis was suggested to me in 2015 by one of my doctors as an alternative, since medical cannabis is legal in my state. The price of the cannabis was out of my range since I am disabled and on social security.

In June 2020 recreational cannabis became legal in New Mexico. I ordered seeds from a seed bank and paid over $100.00. I got a total of 18 seeds. Three of them were free.

My very first grow I planted 12 seeds. I started them inside with a “grow light”.

They were a hot mess. I transplanted them outside on June first. I only gave them water. They were very small and only 4 survived.

My first harvest was in the end of October. I trimmed and dried them. I bought dark mason jars for curing. I got a total of 50 gm total.

Once they cured for several weeks I tried it. Really good quality. I was so pleased it was helping with my pain from fibromyalgia.

I suffered with pain for over 15 years and nothing helped. Cannabis helps me get to sleep and stay asleep. It also helps reduce my pain throughout the day.

I did research over the winter and prepared for my next grow. I bought some bat guano and worm castings also some nutrients.

What a difference that made!

I planted 12 seeds again on June 1st. Last October when I harvested I had way more than I needed. Yield was over 4 pounds. What a difference in size. Each plant was between 3 and 4 feet tall.

This time the weight was in pounds not a few grams….time for edibles.

More research there was a lot of information. The first one was the easiest. Break up the buds and low and slow in a crock pot for up to 12 hours. I made my first edibles. 2 tablespoons of canna oil in the recipe worked well with 16 brownies. I eat one every evening 2 hours before bedtime.

The brownies were good but the taste you could tell they’re canna brownies…lol.

Time for more research.

Second method called for decarbing the cannabis in an oven first. To decarb in the oven you need to grind then bake the cannabis at 220 Fahrenheit for 20 to 40 minutes turning every 20 minutes. Then 3 to 6 hours in the crockpot on low.

Decarbing is the way to go!

My oil was twice as potent and no taste. My brownies were so potent I had to cut them in half.

They also taste like brownies.

I love growing cannabis and am getting ready for my 3rd grow. I bought the seeds from lawngreen-barracuda-883626.hostingersite.com this grow. I started 12 inside so on June 1st they will be big enough I can start 12 more seedlings.

We are allowed 12 big plants and 12 seedlings in my state. I just discovered this fact.

I really can not wait to try what I actually got here at JCS!

God’s medicine is the best medicine!

I always have thought the best cannabis for any kind of pain is an Indica, and it can help you sleep which can be a huge problem when you are in pain.
