Broken Cannabis Plants…Can They Survive?

Update on My Broken Cannabis Plants
Nature can be rough, and cannabis plants grown outdoors can succumb to breakage or worst! I have seen cannabis plants snapped off right at the ground…although that is extreme.
Usually breakage from wind or weight is in those lower branches…they can become long, and their angle is just not good for strength.
I have written two other posts on this subject, and here they are….
Fixing Broken Cannabis Stems: Step-by-Step Recovery
My Cannabis Plant is Broken…What Should I Do?
This will be an update on the steps I took to heal two plants in this grow that got broken. One was from the wind and a heavy lower branch that simply could not support it’s weight…. here is the plant a week later, the broken branch is in the forefront…

You will see no wilting, and would not even know that big limb was taped back up from the looks of the plant. This tape fix I have used many times and usually works great.
And, as explained in one of the articles above I was throwing a heavy log over the hot fence to build my wattle fence…things went south and the log ended up crushing about half a plant. ripping all the limbs on one side right to the ground. I could have perhaps saved some of those limbs with tape, but decided they were simply too damaged and culled them all. I knew being this early in the year the plant would make a full recovery, and believe it or not…that plant will likely fill that space back in before harvest.
Here is an image of that plant only one week later…

Oh, that is right I did tape up the two main limbs on the one plant that had split right there…you can see in the image. Cannabis is a very resilient plant that can recover from an incredible amount of damage.
I will do a few more updates on this subject, and prove to you just how tough these plants can be.
