How Much Sun Does Cannabis Need? (And Can It Get Too Much?)

Sun-Scorched Weed: How Much Sunlight Is Too Much for Outdoor Cannabis?
How much sun do cannabis plants need? The short answer….as much as they can get!
Yep, in my experience growing thousands of cannabis plants outdoors as the Ghost…if cannabis has it’s way would love to be in the sun all day, every day. Cannabis is a sun loving plant.
This can be very important to get right with a guerrilla grow.
There are a few variables involved…
- Growing outdoor cannabis in an area that is cloudy alot…site your plants so if the sun is shining it is shining on your plants.
- If you cannabis plants are out in all day sun then they are also enjoying any breeze that may come along…also important for cloudy, or high humidity areas.
- If you have your plants out in the sun all day long and you live in a very hot sunny area such as I do in central WA state, you will want to be sure your plants stay hydrated. That hot all day sun can cause water issues, and if that happens the sun can become your enemy…the cure for this is to water them enough to deal with that.
You can read articles online telling you to limit your cannabis plants sun hours in the day…I say do not believe that…give your outdoor plants all the sun they can get…keep them hydrated, and your cannabis garden will reach it’s full potential.
What is your take on how much sun your outdoor plants should get…tell me in a comment…and I do not mind if you disagree…but back it up with some examples, or reasons why you disagree. Lets start a conversation…
